Review by bostonron

bostonron My first show :-) Looking at the setlist, this one is great for a noob. A lot of *songs*, some favorites, Horn, Chalkdust, Lizards, Esther, Cavern, Lifeboy and the big guns Bowie and Hood. In retrospect listening back it was a pretty laid back night for the guys. They never really went out there until Gin which clocked in at around 20-25 minutes and segued perfectly into Keyboard Army. From what I remember, granted this was 15 years ago, I remember Bowie and Lifeboy being highlights and the peak of Hood I remember a lot of beautiful lighting. Overall a pretty average show for '95. My fondest memory is walking out of the arena blown away, smiling and there was a beautiful, light snow falling which just barely covered the ground.

Review by Jklinow

Jklinow I have not actually listened to this whole show but i have listened many times to the fantastic Bathtub Gin. I will not try to explain it but i would like to point out a Dave's Energy Guide tease starting around 7:20. This wasn't a tease of the main theme of DEG which is usually the part teased. During the jam, Trey teases for a while the "diamond shaped" (see DEG song history) pattern that is the beginning of the original full DEG (for a good example listen to 11/23/85 which also has that famous Whipping Post jam). Just wanted to point that out and hope it gets listed in the show notes and the tease chart.

duggy I love this show! Especially Set II! The run from Gin > Harry is not to be missed -- that Gin is almost my favourite, and Page leads a good portion of the jam as Trey moves to his mini-drums ... VERY cool!

And, the jam out of Scent is the *same* heavy metal jam the band plays out of 11/30/97's Wolfman's - check it out!
