Review by nattyoats

nattyoats This was such a small show that the "stage" was actually just one step above the floor. I remember putting my extra shirt at the base of Trey's mic stand. Also because it was at a private high school, when the show ended everyone left except for the few of us that came from UNH.......

Review by DemandOpener

DemandOpener Yet another innocent, unassuming show from "the early days", this show features some good playing and a good, representative setlist but not much else.

If you're shuffling around the website looking at random shows but not looking to listen to an entire show, there are maybe a couple things here that are worth listening to. The La Grange is enjoyable. Highway to Hell is so hilariously bad it seemed almost as if there was an inter-band competition going on to see who could do the worst vocals during the choruses. Reba has a nice peak featuring some deliberate, shrieking guitar notes. Suzy has a funny moment where Mike's bass apparently stopped working and Fish lets us all know about it. Of course, the original, horrible Rift makes an appearance. It still sucks.

Ultimately, a lot of this stuff serves as just drops in the bucket that represents the early days of Phish. Completely inessential show. 2 stars.
