NEW TO CIRCULATION (COMPLETE?): APRIL 9, 1990

Thanks once again to Niel Ringstad for the SBD1 cassettes, and the generosity of @Jeff_Goldberg with The Audio Specialist and Jeff's skills and time, Phish's show on April 9, 1990, at the Fly Me To The Moon Saloon in Telluride, Colorado, is now circulating in as complete a form as is believed to be possible.

You may review the setlist and notes if you Read More below. And you can download the show at this handy link here, and now, or tomorrow instead, or perhaps next week or month, courtesy of @ucpete, who conformed the files to etree community standards, because that's just the kind of thoughtful gentleman he is. And if you missed the release of April 8, 1990, and April 8, 1992, also from Niel's tape collection, check out this blog post from three years ago (which coincidentally is almost how long it took me to remember to circulate 4/9/90 as well, whooops!).

Although the setlist states that "Funky Bitch" is missing, this is simply because it appears on Phish dot com's setlist; it is neither on the jcard of this tape nor on the tape itself, however, and Paul's level adjustments during "Esther" also make us think that "Esther" opened the second set (and "Funky Bitch" may have simply been soundchecked). Note that the "Mike Lynch" referred to in dot com's setlist show notes is Mikey Lynch, whose SBD0 tapes were used by Niel to make Niel's tapes of this show.

Jeff_Goldberg Once again, please enjoy, Phish.Net fam! Interestingly enough, this is another show I worked on which coincidentally happens to fall on my birthday... so there's that. If anyone has any questions, let me know.

Cheers,
Jeff

mcgrupp81 The 4/8 and 4/9 shows are listed as "tough to find, but worth it" in the Pharmer's Almanac. #3 underrated show of 1990. Colorado and 1990 sells me. Thanks for your effort in getting this widely circulated.
