PHISH PERCUSSION, 40 YEARS AGO

40 years ago tonight, Phish played one set (setlist still unknown) and then every member of the band played percusison, backing Zenzile Khoisan, whom we recently interviewed for Phish.net. Watch that set here, with Phish starting around 6:19, following an introduction by a young Bernie Saunders and also includes readings by Allen Ginsburg and others:

If you liked this blog post, one way you could "like" it is to make a donation to The Mockingbird Foundation, the sponsor of Phish.net. Support music education for children, and you just might change the world.

fluffheadj for anyone looking for Bernie Sanders, go back to about 4:30-5:20. He looks like a crotchety old man even in his mid-40s!

smoothatonalsnd What an absolutely incredible find this video is, and that amazing write up from @Lemuria about Zenzile's memories of Phish. Really paints a picture of Burlington in the 80s
