Mikesgroover My first live experience with Phish will also go down as the fewest songs they ever played in a single appearance. I believe they hit the stage late because their gear wasn't set up, so they only had time to squeeze in three songs in about 40 minutes. The Greek was pretty empty for their set, so I was able to walk right up front and see them close up.
Nothing especially memorable, however Fishman starts up Llama after YEM only to be cut off because they had run out of time.

DollarBill Wow! From the worst to the best! This is another Santana opener with a great soundboard recording. This recording could rival any offering from LivePhish.com today! This might be the best recording of Page I've ever heard.

I read the other review on here and the guy said that they were late getting set up so they only played for thirty minutes. So this scenario gets confusing to me. They rip through Chalk Dust, a really good one too, and then they say "Thank you", and you can hear Trey say "Foam, we've got to keep moving..." Like let's hurry up right? So, they play a ripping Foam, supper fast, lightning speed, a really good one with just a few spots at the end because of the speed. It still clocks in at eight minutes. Now here's where it gets confusing to me. You could play other songs right? Three, Four, Five, maybe even six short ones? But instead they play a fifteen minute YEM, with a vocal jam? Don't get me wrong it's a great song and a great version here tonight but, they didn't have to do it. Perfect All Fall Down at the end. Then the Llama intro gets cut off with Trey saying "I'm sorry, we are out time but, come back tommorrow night you'll see more."

Well great three songs anyway. I mean really good. Plus the recording itself is hot! Check this one out.
