Notes: Makisupa was played for the first time since February 25, 1990 (108 shows).  YEM's vocal jam was centered around Manteca and also contained a  Rockin' Robin tease from Trey. David Bowie's intro contained Donna Lee teases and Weekapaug contained Mainstreet teases. Makisupa's key words were a Manteca quote: "Crab in my shoemouth." The beginning of Hydrogen included the lyrics "I walk awakening on the misty fields of forever." Fishman was introduced as Bob Seger before Whipping Post, which featured Fishman on vocals. Page and Mike teased Norwegian Wood at the end of the second HYHU.

This show was part of the "1990 Tour."

TheEmu The first set plus the start of the second set here are really, really good. The Runaway Jim is smoking, the Reba has some fine Cactus, and the YEM is very good. The David Bowie with Mo' Better Blues intro is the easy highlight of the show, IMO, and is definitely worth the listen. Divided Sky to start set II is ripping, and the Makisupa is fine as well. Things go down hill a bit from there. The Forbin's is pretty harsh, the Mockingbird is cut, and all I can say about Mike's Song is blecch. The 'Paug is pretty basic, too. Despite the somewhat disappointing ending after a fiery first set+, I'm gonna go 4 stars here because there were plenty of tasty nuggets in that first half.

Surprised that Llama wasn't mentioned in the notes above. It smokes! This was an early Llama that had a slower synchopated groove and had a solo transition that was common for earlier Llamas that was later dropped, where Page holds a note on the keys and Trey comes in on the same sustained note to take the hand-off.

The show I have on tape also has Donna Lee in the first set. Trey announces the transition between Flatt and Stubbs and Charlie Parker "running together".
