· The Fishin' Hole tease in Possum

Average Song Gap: 6.5

Performers: Trey Anastasio, Page McConnell, Jon Fishman, Mike Gordon

Notes: Happy Birthday was sung by “Rocco” to Trey’s sister, Kristy. Possum included Fishin' Hole (aka The Andy Griffith Show theme) teases. The band asked the audience several times if anyone could give them a ride back to Burlington, as their van broke down on the road to Philadelphia. As with the encore the night before, Trey introduced Fish as “The King of Prussia.”

TheEmu Average show, with a little slop here and there. Dinner & A Movie, Bowie, and Hydrogen are all fairly messy. David Bowie is not a particularly good version, as in addition to the slop, Trey just gets stuck on a phrase which is repeated ad nauseum for most of the jam. It may be a tease, I'm not sure, but I didn't really care for the jam. On the other hand, Suzy, Contact, La Grange and Weekapaug were all decent, although the Suzy might be a little labored. I'll admit to getting a tear in my eye when Trey and "Rocco" sang Happy Birthday to Kristy. But, all in all, another average show, I think. 3 stars.
