Review by DemandOpener

DemandOpener In the early days, it seemed that whenever Phish returned to Colorado, they were more relaxed playing in an environment that likely felt like a home away from home. This show is no exception, and the setlist would have any fan today drooling. Though the show is short on improv and long on composition, the songs are all very crisply played and showcase a precision that was only just starting to emerge after years of playing songs well (Fluffhead, Reba, Split Open and Melt), but not having them down to an actual science.

Anyway, I give this solid show 3.5 stars. I will say that it's probably one of the better examples of the year (so far) of Phish bringing their already tight chemistry and otherworldly chops to a whole new level, so it may be worth checking out just for that (and the good Bowie/Tweezer, too).
