During a late night post-Phish-show set by a band led by George Porter, Jr. (promoted as "The Phunk Sessions"), and that included Robert Walter (keys) and Turkuaz members Michelangelo Carubba (drums), Craig Brodhead (guitar) and Shira Elias (vocals), as well as The Motet members Lyle Divinsky (vocals), Drew Sayers (saxophone) and Parris Fleming (trumpet)  (vocals), Mike sat in on bass for Spanish Moon, which also featured Joey Porter (of The Motet) on keys with Robert Walter.
This performance was part of LOCKN’ Festival. Trey joined Tedeschi Trucks Band on guitar and vocals for their second set which comprised of the album Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs (Derek and the Dominoes) played in its entirety (sans Thorn Tree in the Garden).
Fish sat in with a group of musicians that played Grateful Dead covers.

Mike sat in with Amy Helm and her band for the songs listed above, playing guitar on Roll Um Easy and Walls of Time and playing bass on (Ain't That) Good News.
Jon Fishman performed with the Candles on the songs listed above as part of "Long May You Run: A Benefit Concert for Runner and Pedestrian Safety." This show was canceled due to the impending Hurricane Sandy.
This show consisted largely of improvised music. The main participants for this performance were Fish (drums), Matt Butler (conductor), Jamie Masefield (mandolin), Zach Gill (keyboards), Dan Lebowitz (guitar), John Kadlecik (guitar), Jessica Lurie (saxophone), Reed Mathis (bass), Katy Gaughan (percussion), and Sonya Kitchell (vocals).
This show, which consisted largely of improvised music, was billed as an aftershow for the TAB show earlier that evening at the Beacon Theatre.. The main participants for this performance were Fish (drums), Matt Butler (conductor), Marco Benevento (keyboards), Jamie Masefield (mandolin), John Kadlecik (guitar), Jessica Lurie (saxophone) and Reed Mathis (bass).

Mike joined Phil Lesh and Friends for the second set of this show that took place on the eve of Phish's three night run at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Franklin's Tower featured Blue Sky teases. The first set of this show consisted of a cover of Gram Parsons' 1974 album, Grievous Angel. Phil's band on this night included his sons Grahame and Brian as well as Mark Karan, Ross James, Conor O’Sullivan, Scott Paden, and Elliott Peck.

The show-closing mega-jam at the third annual Jammy Awards show included an abundance of musicians on two different stages jamming simultaneously over classics “Turn On Your Lovelight” and “Gloria.” The main stage featured Ratdog, as well as Trey, Matt Abts, Warren Haynes, DJ Logic, John Popper, and Al Schnier; a second stage included (among others) Mike, Mystic Bowie, Victoria Clamp, Hope Clayburn, Jessica Lurie and Robert Randolph. Other performers over the course of the evening included Mike Gordon and Leo Kottke (setlist), Derek Trucks Band, Les Claypool, Jazz Mandolin Project, Lake Trout, Soulive, and The Tom Tom Club.

This show was a benefit to raise funds for the medical bills of Burlington musician “Mr. Charlie” Frazier, who had recently suffered a stroke. The gig included performances from Doctor Jones, The John Tower Group, Nobby Reed Project, Seth Yacovone Band, and Mr. Charlie’s own band, Blues for Breakfast. Page joined Blues for Breakfast on keyboards for renditions of the Grateful Dead classics “Scarlet Begonias” and “Franklin’s Tower.”
This 6th annual Zambiland Orchestra gathering featured over fifty musicians in multiple configurations playing improvised instrumentals and jam rock classics. Mike sat in during the second set, first on banjo and then later on bass. This night featured a reunion with all members of The Aquarium Rescue Unit, as well as Danny Barnes as “one man band,” Jeff Coffin, Billy Constable and Jeff Mosier on banjos, John Cowan on bass, Gary Gazaway on trumpet, Jim Hadley, Bryan Lopes, Bobby Lee Rogers, Yonrico Scott, and many others.

This Mule lineup included several special guests on bass. John Popper joined in for “Mule” while Kevin Kinney and Audley Freed sat in for “Masters of War.” This set was the finale of the annual Warren Haynes Christmas Jam that also featured Drivin’ and Cryin’, Blues Traveler and Phil Lesh and Friends.

This benefit show was organized to raise money for Leftover Salmon banjoist Mark Vann, who had recently been diagnosed with melanoma. Mike played bass for an instrumental set that featured Gary “El Buho” Gazaway on trumpet, Aaron Johnston on drums, Floyd King on saxophone, and Scott Murawski on guitar. This was a benefit show organized by The Mimi Fishman Foundation to honor Mimi Fishman, who passed away earlier in the year. Mike and Warren Haynes joined Project Logic during the second set for a half-hour long jam based on Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition.” Stanley Jordan, Hope Clayburn and Casey Benjamin were also guests during this show. 
This show was a benefit for Clear Path International. Trey performed acoustic guitar for this evening of bluegrass along with John McEuen and Jimmy Ibbotson – founding members of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. They were joined by members of opening acts The Brementown Singers, and Banjo Dan and the Midnight Plowboys for a show-closing jam: a 20-minute rendition of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Will The Circle Be Unbroken?”

This was a CD release party for Scott Murawski’s Scottness. The core lineup featured Mike on bass, Scott Murawski and Jeff Pevar on guitars, Lee Shusterman on keyboards, and Greg DeGuglielmo on drums. "Outside of Home" was performed by Scott Murawski, Jeff Pevar and Mark Mercier. "Columbus Stockade Blues" featured Mark Mercier on keyboards and Tony Betancourt on guitar. "I Wish I Could Say" and "Don't Tell Me About love" featured Mark Banspach and Tony Betancourt on guitars.  Justin Kolak replaced Mike on bass for “Use Me” and was joined by Vykki Vox on vocals. “Thesba” through “Driver” were performed by Trey on acoustic guitar and vocals and Tom Marshall on vocals; Stephen “Tebo” Thomas also added vocals on “Thesba.” Tom, Trey, Matt Kohut, and Pete Cottone performed “Wading in the Velvet Sea”; this constituted first live performance by the band UTALK. All the members of Amfibian performed the encores, with Trey on electric guitar.
The Really Big Show is an annual event sponsored by The  Northampton Arts Council. After Kurt Vonnegut performed a prelude to Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales, Vonnegut “scatted” and Fish joined in on vacuum, backed by Vonnegut’s grandson, Max Prior, and his band, Special K and His Crew.

After TAB had performed earlier that evening at the Landmark Theater, Trey joined Strangefolk on guitar for part of the jam in Neighbor before the band went into Norwegian Wood.

Oysterhead (Trey, Stewart Copeland, and Les Claypool) performed the Owner of the World sandwich while the combined Frog Brigade and Oysterhead performed Tomorrow Never Knows. Phish had played earlier in the evening at Thomas & Mack Center. This was also a combined celebration, as both Les and Trey share a September 30th birthday.
Trey’s brother-in-law Kevin hosted a private party after that evening’s Phish show at Deer Creek. Mike played guitar for about an hour, while Fish jammed on drums until sunrise.
Mike played guitar from No Egos Underwater through the end of the show. At one point, Col. Bruce chided Mike about directing him in Mike’s film debut, Outside Out. Phish had performed earlier in the evening at Lakewood Amphitheatre. 
Kid Rock was the musical guest for Saturday Night Live. Trey added a second rhythm guitar for this acoustic performance.

This night was billed The Double Dig Festival, commemorating the closing of the Double Dig Ranch, a communal farm east of Boulder that for four years was host to musicians and other artists. Members of String Cheese Incident, Leftover Salmon, Tony Furtado, and the Wendy Woo Band at various times called this farm home; it was also temporary home to many musicians traveling through the area, including numerous stops by Fish. Trey sat in on acoustic guitar for the show closing jam that at its core was the Tony Furtado Band, though upwards of thirty musicians were on stage at the time. 
Mike sat in for a portion of this show that served as the unofficial after show party for Trey’s Flynn Theatre performance earlier in the evening.

Phish's opening set was rained out. All the members of Phish sat in during Santana's set on the listed songs.
This gig took place during the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and was billed as "Jazz Funk of the Future." Trey, Page, and RJ Spangler sat in for the whole show. This setlist is incomplete; the listed songs were officially released in 2003 as Live at Jimmy's. Phish had performed earlier in the weekend on the main stage of JazzFest.
Trey sat in for the entire set, playing along with Sunspots’ guitarist Jim Kebodeaux. Garbage Can Woman featured Sunpie (on harmonica), Jim, and Trey sitting on the edge of the stage after Sunpie said: “I don’t think they can hear us. Let’s get out on the porch.” This performance was part of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and took place on the Fais Do-Do Stage; Phish had performed earlier in the weekend on the Main Stage of JazzFest.
Trey joined Merl Saunders and the Rainforest Band on guitar from Built for Comfort through the end of the show. It's in the Air (Konfusion) included a Dixie tease from Trey. Dark Star was performed instrumental and included a China Cat Sunflower tease from Trey. I Feel Like Dynamite included a full-band Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) tease. Page filled in for an ailing Gregg Allman, playing keyboards on One Way Out through the end of the show. Gregg Allman had been in a minor motorcycle accident the day before the beginning of the annual ABB run at the Beacon. Gregg toughed it out in the first set, but didn’t feel well enough to finish the show. Page was attending the show, and while backstage during the intermission he was invited to fill in for the rest of the gig.

Big Joe and his band performed at the wedding reception of Page and Sofi Dillof. All four band members sat in at various points during this set, as did Page’s dad, Dr. Jack McConnell, singing Bill Bailey.
This set was part of the 14th annual Camp Creek gathering. Mike sat in on bass for the listed songs. 
The first three songs of the second set featured Mike on bass; Mike also sang lead on John Hardy.
Spastic consisted of Fish on drums and vocals, Martin Guigui on keyboards and vocals; Tommy Lee Smith on guitar; and Aaron Hersey on bass and vocals.

A ninety-minute recording of this jam session does circulate and includes “Impressions,” “Whipping Post,” and the Sanford and Son theme; the recording that does circulate is often mislabeled as a “parking lot jam.” Phish had performed earlier in the evening at the UIC Pavilion.

Fish read a passage about “Bucky Domes” from Robert Anton Wilson’s Cosmic Trigger between 7th Revelation and Elvin Jones. A bucky dome, also known as geodesic dome, is a sphere created from a series of hexagrams and pentagrams, invented by Buckminster Fuller. At the time, Fish lived in a bucky dome.
Page sat in on keyboards for Chameleon and Shake Everything You Got.

This performance was part of the Laguna Seca Daze festival that also featured Phish. Mountain Cry featured Page on keyboards, while the Gloria encore saw Page, Trey and Todd Park Mohr of Big Head Todd and the Monsters join in.
This private party and jam session included two bass players, three guitar players, two drummers, percussion and keyboards. There was a rotation of performers throughout the night, including Mike on bass and Fish on drums, and members of local bands Deep Space Six and Uncle Chunk. The only known song performed was the Sanford and Son theme. No known recording exists. Phish had performed earlier in the evening at the Michigan Theatre.
