Setlists Matching City: Memphis, State: TN, Country: USA, All Artists

SET 1: First Tube [1], Full Nelson [2]

Stash ended with a full band Can’t Turn You Loose tease. After Stash, Trey announced a contest where the winner would receive four tickets and backstage passes to any show in the next year and, jokingly, a date with Fish. The question centered on what all of the songs played in the first set, with the exception of Driver, had in common. The answer was that all songs were in the Key of D. Happy Birthday was also played (for Trey) during the contest announcement. Cities was an appropriate choice as an encore for Memphis, and Trey altered the lyrics a bit for the occasion.

Reba did not have the whistling ending. Trey teased Jump Monk in Simple. Tweezer through Llama and Johnny B. Goode featured Gary Gazaway on trumpet. Tweezer included a Zimbabwe tease from Gazaway.

Soundcheck: Jam, Jam > Honky Tonk Woman, The Old Home Place, Funky Bitch, Rift, Prince Caspian

SET 1: Don't You Want To Go?, Gumbo > NICU, Mound, Cavern > Possum, All Things Reconsidered, Amazing Grace[1], The Horse > Silent in the Morning, Spock's Brain > Split Open and Melt

SET 2: Also Sprach Zarathustra > Poor Heart > Tweezer[2], Acoustic Army, While My Guitar Gently Weeps

ENCORE: Simple[3], Rocky Top > Tweezer Reprise

Don’t You Wanna Go was preceded by a Stairway to Heaven tease. Trey teased Jean Pierre in Possum. This 50+ minute Tweezer included a brief Gypsy Queen jam, a Slave-like jam, and a Digital Delay Loop Jam with whistling. Simple contained a Jump Monk tease from Trey and was performed with an a cappella ending instead of a jam, akin to the ALO version from December 8, 1994. Amazing Grace was performed without microphones. In the soundcheck, Funky Bitch was peformed as a slow version and Rift was played as an instrumental.

My Friend began with a cappella lyrics to the tune of Back in my Hometown. Nellie Kane, the Phish debut of Beaumont Rag, and Foreplay/Long Time were performed acoustic.
