Review by Roofless_Sheds

Roofless_Sheds This is my favorite song by the Dave Matthews Band, a group whose music meant a great, great deal to me when I was a teenager, years before I discovered Phish. Interestingly, and something I didn't know until very recently, it's also one of the only songs they routinely stretch out in concert, often using it as a feature piece for a special guest appearance.

This particular version stretches more than 17 minutes. Trey is invited out and plays what might be the most delicate and beautifully phrased guitar solo I've ever heard from him. It truly must be heard to be believed... The empathy and sensitivity that he'd spent his entire pre-hiatus career developing with Phish are on full display, and you can feel how excited the band is to be backing him up.

To top it off, the recording quality is exceptional. Download it off the Spreadsheet (Sit-Ins tab) and give it a listen immediately. There is also a fan-shot video (of dubious quality) floating around YouTube.
