Trey performed Chalk Dust through Wilson solo acoustic. Heavy Things and Liquid Time featured Trey on acoustic with full TAB; the balance of the show was full electric TAB. Before Theme, Trey talked about all four members of Phish living in an apartment off Vine near The Viper Room while recording Hoist "in 1989"; the audience corrected him (repeatedly) that this was in 1994, not 1989. After Theme, Trey expressed further confusion by suggesting that Rift was released in 1996 instead of 1993. Dragonfly was played by request "because you guys have been yelling for it all night."

This show was part of the "TAB - Winter 2011 Acoustic/Electric Tour"

Review by EUPhan

EUPhan Arrived in LA in the afternoon coming from Berlin Germany via London. I was drinking two red bull before to stay awake. Sold my extra for face before the show. I was surprised how small the venue was. The show was awesome. My first TAB show and I liked the arrangements with horns ans backibg vocals. I don't really have any references for TAB but I enjoyed the show very much!

Review by CookDog

CookDog My first "side-show" experience with any member of Phish. Took place here in the city I currently reside, Los Angeles, after my sixth Phish show, 1/1/11..

Loved Trey's first set; all acoustic. Amazing how he is able to achieve the complex layered sounds and harmonies of a whole band on songs like CDT, Bathtub Gin and Wilson. The venue had a lower level with a packed floor/pit and a bar area below the balcony with low ceiling and poor sound, no great view. We headed up to the balcony section which was also packed halfway through the acoustic set and raged the aisle the rest of the show. Other highlights for me included Burlap Sack and Pumps, Sand and First Tube. Great to hear these last two Phish tunes with the full out TAB horn section treatment. The small venue was rockin' and I can't wait for Trey to come out here to LA again, this time with his the Philharmonic! Thanks for a great show!
