Set 1 starts with a rocking 46 Days. I always like this song here, but I do wish they would start jamming this song more again. Water in the Sky is a very solid version, with some very nice playing. Everything’s Right-> Rift was really solid. Everything’s Right lands on a really solid groove and then peaks nicely at the end before going into Rift which is always a fan favorite. Wolfman’s Brother has a nice type 1 excursion and then Maze as always gets everyone into a frenzy. Bathtub Gin follows and it is a solid version. Once again it isn’t an all time version, but I really enjoyed it. Rock and Roll is always a great cover and ends the set on a high note. This was a good set with great song choices and flow.
Set 2 starts with Mikes Song-> I Am Hydrogen-> Carini. Great song selection continues, the first two are pretty standard. Carini has a nice little jam on it and I didn’t see this three song start coming at all. Blaze On-> Golden Age> The Howling follows and the set just keeps flowing in a good way. Blaze On is short but sweet. Golden Age stays within its boundaries, but it does have a funky yet serene jam to it. The Howling continues the funk and I remember the crowd was getting down. A Wave of Hope was really short haha especially compared to versions of the last few years. Harry Hood rounds out the set nicely and is well played. They just kept chugging a long this set, I really enjoyed all the continuous play. Encore is next and we start with Bouncing Around the Room which is fine. NICU follows and is always fun to hear. Slave to the Traffic Light emerges and it is a good one. I always enjoy shows when Harry Hood and Slave to the Traffic Light both appear.
Set 1 Highlights-> Everything’s Right, Bathtub Gin
Set 2 Highlights-> Carini, Golden Age, Slave to the Traffic Light.
I really liked how this show flowed and honestly on this night you didn’t need a 30 minute jam to be satisfied. Great song selection and had a lot of fun. I’d rate this show a 3.8/5.
