NYE 1996 (12/31/96) was at the new Fleet Center in Boston. Something like 70,000 balloons were dropped at NYE. The gag, if you call it that, was the number of balloons (it was visual and auditory insanity, listen to the DWD that followed Auld Lang Syne, I think it was DWD), and a gospel choir that sang Bohemian Rhapsody with Phish, and encored with a fantastic Amazing Grace!

No Hot Dog. That was 12/31/1994. It was a Tropical Hot Dog Night!
