Set 1: Wilson > CDTChalk Dust Torture, Stash, Dogs Stole Things, Poor Heart > Taste, Bouncin'Bouncing Around the Room, Character Zero

Notes: This single-set performance was part of the annual Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts that also included Beck, David Byrne, Pavement, Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Spearhead, and Stereolab. Phish performed on The Pyramid Stage. Wilson was an appropriate opener, as the venue was less than 50 kilometers from Stonehenge.

This show was part of the "1997 Summer European Tour."

ucpete There's not much to write here, as this show was short as shit. Wilson opener, as the show notes mention, was quite appropriate given the venue's proximity to Stonehenge. This audience recording is absolute shit by the way :/ Stash is actually pretty decent. And well, that's all I can say about this show. It's such a bad recording and such a short festival set that there's not much to say. This is the lowest rated show of 1997 at 1.4 (yikes) but I think I'll bring it up a bit and give it 2 stars -- sure, the recording sucks and it's only an hour of music, but I'm not going to hold that against the boys. I will hold the lack of exploration against them a little bit though. In summary, Stash and Taste are (typically) good, and the rest is redundant with the much higher quality recordings on your hard drive.
