Review by Phluffhead1988

Phluffhead1988 TAB in Charlotte tonight was insane. Despite the lack of Jenn, Natalie, and James, tonight truly felt like an Phish show. 5 song first set, 6 song second set, and a 5 song encore that started off with 4 solo acoustic songs. Trey Anastasio is truly one special human being that continues to exceed all of our expections time after time. Download this show!

Also, I took my dad tonight for his 2nd TAB show. He truthfully called the Sand closer though, which made for a special night for us!

colonelforbin44 I was really disappointed when I found out the entire horns section would miss the show due to COVID protocols. However, I knew Trey would pick up the slack and he delivered 1000x. The first set was good and jam filled, but it felt like the new bass player was hanging back. Second set felt like early 90s Trey stepped through a time machine and onto the stage. At the same time they switched Dezron's learners permit out for a full license to jam and gave him the keys to the car. It was unbelievable! I haven't heard Trey play like that live ever (through 20-40 shows). He shredded, no holds barred, so did Dezron.

The mini acoustic set was a nice touch and then that Sand... jesus! Once again, Trey taught us how to turn lemons into lemonade and I'm happy I was there to see it!

Casey_finn Man before this show when they announced no horns I was a little bummed but it ended up marking a way more special memorable night. No horns left room for bigger jams. And the whole rhythm section could build off each other. The ocelot is one of the best ocelots I have ever heard. Crazy Jerry Garcia type guitar tones followed with ray on the keys right behind every note. The 46 days was a huge jam that had me jaw dropped. Awesome sand closer as well. Overall it was a phenomenal night. Give this show a listen!
