Review by DollarBill

DollarBill Found this one on the spreadsheet but, nowhere else and after listening I can see why. Even the taper himself admitted in the notes that it was recorded on cheap equipment making the sound less than desirable. Lots of crowd noise, not in a good way, just conversations going on all around. I'm glad to hear it anyway, for history's sake.

Good Chalk Dust to start off. Trey dedicated it to Terry and Tammy the T-shirt booth people. Double opener with a Landlady, also pretty good. Jim is a good jam. I just wish this recording sounded better. Guelah is good, no big mistakes or anything. YEM is pretty tight from what I can hear. Trey is a little soft at times. The vocal jam features the phrase "Did you wash it?" Trey announces Uncle Pen as a Bill Monroe song. Good version here. Llama is a ripping closer, as usual.

Not a bad set at all. No real musical problems. No new Rift material either. If this was a soundboard recording we might be in the five star range! Bummer...
