Phish played this bit of “western swing” in only one show, during the legendary Vegas “Harpua” on 12/6/96. Lyrics like “a thousand miles from old city lights” clashed with the hectic Vegas surrounding. However, the song was an omen of western-ness that night, as the show included “cowgirl yodelers” Heather August and Anamieke Carrozza as well as Les Claypool, a cowboy, of sorts.
