This early afternoon set took place on the Green Stage of the Fuji Rock Festival that also included Blur, Catatonia, Chemical Brothers, Fountains of Wayne, Underworld, and ZZ Top. The set was webcast live. Before PYITE, Trey apologized for not speaking the language and brought out a translator who addressed the crowd in Japanese.

Review by Bob_Loblaw

Bob_Loblaw What more can you say besides this is the boys getting their feet wet? Everything is pretty average for the most part.

The exceptions being a great Taste that gets stretched out a little, they just really go with it. Waste is noteworthy because Trey really nails the end of it, fantastic peak and solo.

It has the feel of a Festival day set. Nothing to big or ambitious. But nothing hard on the ears either.

Review by GallopingGhost

GallopingGhost This show is an absolutely delightful show to listen to. The soundboard recordings are so clean that you feel as if the band is playing in a room right in front of you. The DwD is killer, in fact, your mind might just explode if you listen to it... be careful... trey/fishman are dangerous. Ghost is long and spacey but awesome as always. Reba, cavern, julius are all wonderful.
There is most certainly something unique about this show, I would suggest you pick up the records if you can. At parts they completely stop and jump back into it. Creativity would be the driving force behind this one
