ajcmixer My 2nd of three Summer shows (Hartford and JB 1 and 2) and this one was a win from the start thru the Hood in my hood, NYC. Stealing Time went deep, deeper than most versions I've witnessed live. Roggae was particularly beautiful this evening then one of the songs that totally thrills me when they break it out, danced the heck out of Pebbles and Marbles. The Gin>Maze, Coil ender was jammed/fire/sublime.

The 2nd Set opener I Never Needed You Like This Before and Leaves that followed were both 17 minutes, ...Needed...rocked, really hard and Leaves was simply stunning in its execution and peaks. Everything's Right "could" have been jammed longer at "just" 10 minutes but the segue into The Mango Song was pretty sweet and fruity and the song itself peaked hard. Most Events Aren't Planned>CDT>Julius was top shelf Phish rocking and rolling with Chalk Dust working the Theater into some sort of frenzy. A couple of my friends had called the Hood, but not as the Encore and it served it's purpose well, all I saw was smiles afterwards. Imho this was a terrific show that surrendered to the flow, a beautiful evening at the beach and looking forward to the 2nd night here in my part of town.

phish123 This show was truly amazing. I’ve been to hundreds of shows and they still blow my mind every time I see them. First set was incredible. Second set was just incredible also. I never needed you like this before and leaves were sublime. I’ll be listening to that leaves for a long time to come. Thank you Phish for another amazing fucking show!!!

Review by DownWithSteam

DownWithSteam Welcome back to Jones Beach, Phish. Looking at the rating a couple days after, I have to say Im dissapointed. This was a 4 star show, o back and read that first set again. Beautiful. Curtain was a warmup, Santos got it going. Faulty plan jam was insane. one of the best vesions ever. Pebbles and Marbles is rare and beautiful. what a first set treat. then top on a gin, maze and coil. First set A+ Phish.

Now, lets admit on paper this 2nd set appears weak. But its far from it. INNYLTB -> Leaves was 2 incredible jams. This show seemed perfect to me so far. the rest of the show nothing popped out like crazy but MEAP was done well. Hood encore is fine with me. this is a 4.3 type of show. even accounting for my attendance bias. please come back next year phish

Review by SplitOpenAndMalt

SplitOpenAndMalt After a long-awaited return to Jones Beach on Long Island, the Phish from Vermont did not disappoint. Following a heater weekend at Bethel, the band highlighted old tunes and absolutely jammed out some new tunes.

The beginning of S1 was great. I’m a sucker for SANTOS and Stealing Time From the Faulty Plan outdid its predecessor from Deer Creek this year. Highlight of S1 was the Bathtub Gin which led into a (fast as all hell, mind you) Llama. This was my first Coil to close out the set and I don’t know if I could’ve asked for a better S1

The first two songs of S2 were the highlights. I Never Needed You Like This Before and Leaves has unprecedented versions— must listen jams that sounded like Phish almost maliciously chose Type I Non-jam vehicles and jammed them out as hard as possible. After Mango Song (which I happen to think the band played pretty well) the set comparatively cooled down.

A ripping Hood to close the show helped its performance. Would definitely suggest a listen— I preferred this to my other two shows from Summer 22 at the Mann

Review by Shadowfox0

Shadowfox0 I screwed up I meant to give that review for Toronto Jones beach night one I haven’t even listened to yet in full. Ignore everything I said except for the Michael Jackson Soundcheck I meant every word of THAT. I need to actually listen to this show before I review it and I’m only on bathtub gin which was pretty good actually a little bit above average for the store and the Bathtub Gin’s have been way too many and way too short and not good Jamming in my opinion

Review by Shadowfox0

Shadowfox0 I wanna hear that Billie Jean sound check from Michael Jackson the show was just OK otherwise but if we got to hear the soundtrack like if they ever released a green album volume live fish which they should’ve done along time ago it would obviously have big cypress on it and maybe we just have lemon we’ll the great went and big cypress but the fourth one could be a random show of your choosing and you get to choose it the fan. Obviously you’d have to pay more for that fourth of your choosing one because Theyd have to master the sound for any and all shows w the filler disc and the soundchecks like they did for all the official release ones. Whatever happened to the color green I thought people love the color green especially people that listen to fish don’t you guys love marijuana I thought everything was about green to you guys. Talk about irony. Blossom night two at Bethel Atlantic City night one were the best of the tour. But Toronto was not the sleeper that it was in 2019 I want to say This was one that people probably skipped but it was actually a really good show not my favorite Setlist I hate stash it’s one of my least favorite songs and I am honestly saying that I could skip to the theme from the bottom as set one opener but it still is a good show
