This one's kind of a mixed bag, IMO. You've got a lot of shakiness bordering on outright slop in Esther and Foam, and Fluffhead takes a shot at trainwreck territory. On the other hand, you've got a pretty good early Reba that Trey takes by the nose and drags to a respectable finish, a pretty good Tweezer, decent, tease-filled versions of Suzy and Antelope, and the highlights of the show, a viscous, growly Funky Bitch and a very nice Harry Hood with intro straight BLOWN UP courtesy of a Cactus bombing run that draws whoops of appreciation from Fishman. I'll also mention an amusing moment in Bike, where Fishman says "Everywhere a gingerbread man -- what are you lookin' at?" Ha! Much of this is two-star material, but I'm feeling generous due to really enjoying the Funky Bitch and the Hood. Three stars.

The SBD source for this show is pretty muffled. The quality degrades quite a bit during Oh Kee Pa and continues through the rest of the show.

The recording cuts into the opening Sweet Adeline. A dedication to Trey’s Aunt and Uncle who cooked the band a fine meal that morning. “Some Fort Collin folk”. Reba is dedicated to the rest of the Fort Collin folk in attendance. Well played Reba. How High the Moon makes it’s debut. Henrietta is introduced prior to Bike. A strong Antelope closes out set 1.

Set 2 opens with a tremendous version of Hood! They follow this up with a rippin’ little Jim. The next number is dedicated to Erik for handling the merchandising during their Colorado swing. It’s also dedicated to Trey’s Aunt and Uncle as Trey co-wrote the next song with his mother, his aunts sister. This was the first No Dogs Allowed of the year and the last time it would ever be played. I like how they paired this one up with Jim. Uncle Pen and a solid Fluffhead keep up a nice setlist flow. The only Tela of the Colorado run provides a nice cool down after a scorching Highway to Hell. A strong Tweezer follows Tela. Lizards caps off a pretty nice set of music. This second set is by far the worst recording of the Colorado run. It’s a shame because it’s one of their best sets of the run.

I've admittedly not listened to as much from 1990 as I probably should, so looking through some shows randomly, I came across this one.

I'm a big Runaway Jim fan - my absolute favorite song they play - so I was surprised when I found it was slightly different from the versions I've come to know and love.
