During the break in Guelah, Trey explained the concept of the Big Ball Jam to the crowd. Trey teased A-Hunting We Will Go in Divided Sky. Memories was performed without microphones. Bowie featured the debut of the Vibration of Life and contained Simpsons and Oom Pa Pa signals. I Walk the Line featured Fish on washboard. Trey teased the HBO Theme Song in Llama. Lengthwise featured Mimi Fishman on vacuum and some funny stage banter.
This was the third show on the "mini tour" my friends and I went on in 1992. This show and Ithaca show were definitely the best of the four shows I saw on this tour. The above reviewer was right on about the EL thing, it was a crazy scene in that old theater. The place was beautiful, with great acoustics to boot. The second set was one of the best I've ever seen, crackling with energy. Even the version of Lenghtwise with Mimi Fishman on vacuum was strangely entertaining at the time. The first set was also really good, with the weird sound experiment "Vibration Of Life" being particularly amusing, considering the general state of mind of most audience members. After the show the parking lot scene was fun for a few hours, then everyone headed for home. My friends had decided earlier not to continue on to the next show in PA. I wasn't too thrilled with this, so I went and bought a ticket for the 12-13-92 show at Le Spectrum in Montreal as soon as I got home.

Fifth show on Fall tour. This one's not quite as hot as last night's show as far as playing. The stage banter is all over the place. Kind of a Mike show tonight. Not a bad recording but, not crystal clear either.
