Review by Phan3123

Phan3123 It seems I have a knack for going to tour openers. Do I just always end up at them or does Phish just love opening up tours at home in New England? I’ll go with the latter.

Set 1 starts out nicely with a Buried Alive, this is always welcome to start any show I’m at. Character Zero in the two spot which is very interesting. Very nice jam, had a real blues vibe to it. Hey Stranger is a good song, I like it. Good little version here and then we get Down with Disease. I really like this version, is it the greatest ever? No, but it has a nice welcome back to tour jam. Roggae> NICU is nice summertime fun and then we get the next couple highlights of the set with Stash and 46 Days. Stash is a really solid jam that builds nicely. 46 days rips and it’s a nice start to night 1.

Set 2 starts out with Suzy Greenberg, it’s standard. I do like the placement of songs this show. Antelope is a surprise in slot two and it was very good/intense. Ghost is next and I really like this version. It gets all heavy metal in the last few minutes and that’s a place I like to go with Phish. Light has a good jam, but I have to say I liked it more in person. Pillow jets not my favorite, but it’s grown an me a little recently. Beneath a Sea of Stars Part 1 is a nice breather, I think this is my favorite GOTF song. Split Open and Melt is sick, it is really intense and goes places I like to be once again. Harry Hood sends everyone home happy.

Set 1 Highlights-> Character Zero, Down with Disease, Stash, and 46 Days.

Set 2 Highlights-> Antelope>Ghost, Split Open and Melt (Highly Recommended).

This was a great start to summer 24, I’d rate this one a 4.1/5.
