Review by thelot

thelot God bless the tapers! Beautiful audience recording for this show! Of course the acoustics of the gymnasium could be better but what can you do. Big thanks to John Redmond for getting it done once again!

They get the party started with Oh Kee Pah>Suzy. The Maine audience gets their first Guelah. DaaM>Esther makes for a nice pairing. Hopefully they’re done with the predictable DaaM>Bouncin’ combo! Pretty straightforward Stash. Cool version of Destiny with an enjoyable mid section. Tape flip after Destiny. Beginning of YEM is cut. ;) Decent jam section. Fun vocal jam with what sounds like “Old Man” quotes. A short yet appropriate Chalk Dust closes out set 1 on a high note.

The second half opens with a nice Coil. Longest Page solo up to this point. Golgi, Mango and Sloth are all well played. Antelope has a smokin’ little jam. Lawn Boy provides a nice cool down. Bathtub Gin was only played 3 times during the fall tour so it’s nice to hear it. Rippin’ Jim to close out the set! Before the encore Trey mentions that they’re gonna do a couple songs. He points out that a lot of the new songs are just one word so they’re easier to remember for everyone. lol Horn starts off the encore. The composed section sounds better each time out. They follow this up with a gorgeous Hood to wrap up the evening.
