Review by gingerphish

gingerphish A little weaker than the night before, but still not an awful show especially for this early in the tour. They got rid of some of the rust we saw last night, but still had a few sloppy points. The first set came and went. The Ocelot was my highlight. Really fresh take on what is normally a standard Julius-esque pump up jam. Instead, Trey takes the solo really dark. Gin also anchors the set well and peaks nicely (no 12/30/16 peak) like a good, type 1 Gin should.

For some reason, I never really connect with DWD jams, but this one was enjoyable and really locked me in a points. 3.0 ambiance is always welcomed in my book. Didn't stray far from where the jam they dropped into after Trey's initial solo, but got things off to a good start. What's the Use has always been a bathroom song. You may disagree, but it just gets to repetitive for me. Blaze On lands on a rhythmic jam where Fishman is just killing it. Really enjoyed this version. The rest of the set was pretty standard as was the Suzy encore.
