Making a return to the legendary Warfield for the first of two nights, the 38th show of the tour is a pretty good one. Fish is still drumming with great precision, but Mike is still lacking overall for the past three or four shows now. The recording was well done and a pleasure to hear.

Fish starts off with an announcement about a friend biking across country, wow! "Now it's time to play." Great Maze right off the top, really rocking. Sparkle has had much better control the past few shows. Foam was pretty good, just kind of average, but dynamic. Punch is getting much better, more like we are used to hearing it now. Fee seemed to false start and was just ok, with some rough Mike parts. ATR was good and fast clocking in at less than three minutes. Melt seemed just average tonight. Fluff had Trey off in the Travels for a bit, but the whole song overall was good. Divided had some rough spots from Mike and then Trey, but by the end it rocked hard. Cavern also had some troubles from Mike's end and wrapped up a pretty good first set.

You can hear at least one guy in the crowd that knows who Wilson is as we continue with sloppy Mike parts in this one. Fishman gives another free snare drum clinic during a good, solid Jim. Mound was good, as was Tweezer. Trey needed to tune up during a funny Horse moment. Silent was much better in the timing of Fish's beat and Page's vocals. Then the Ball Jam... YEM was also much better than the last shows fiasco was. Good jam and vocal jam, leading us into an Oh Kee Pa. A few off spots in the Ceremony and then a little rushed going into a pretty good Suzy. Fish comes out to do another Gig in the Sky. This one's not bad if you can handle Fishman sections. Tweeprise rocks and was expected as a closer or encore.

Grace is dedicated to the bus driver tonight after the shushing and a speedy Rocky Top takes us home on a high note.

If Mike had a better night this could easily be a five star show, but I've got to stick with four on this one.
