Review by CraigSKnowlton

CraigSKnowlton This was my first show. (Hoist) had recently been released, and my fellow 8th graders and I had been listening to it constantly in expectation of this show. Some friends and I who lived on Palm Beach island walked across the bridge to Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach, where the SunFest was being held. Phish played the afternoon set before HORDE Tour pals Blues Traveler headlined (and brought Trey onstage to perform for a song).

Despite its being a single festival set, the music and general phishy experience blew my 13-year old mind away. I watched a man roll a glass orb around various limbs while dancing, encountered the essential scents and casual lawlessness of a Phish show for the first time, and, during the walk home, remarking to a friend: "I'm going to see a lot more Phish shows."

The next day in school my classmates and I ran through the hallways in high gear chanting, "Run, run, run..." to honor the 'Antelope' that stole the show. Looking back, I see that this set proved the spark for not only my 65 (and counting) Phish shows that followed but my immense appreciation for attending live concerts of all genres.
