Review by Hambrownie

Hambrownie I got off of work early and drove from Los Angeles to San Diego through rush hour traffic to make it to see Gordon. But after their show at the Troubadour last November and seeing Trey in Los Angeles on Friday, I wasn't going to miss this show. As my girlfriend and I walked in just a little before 8pm the House of Blues in San Diego was empty, not many people there yet and we were able to get right up close.

As soon as 8:30 rolled around the place had gotten pretty crowded and the place was ready to go. As soon as the band hit the stage, they hit the ground running with "Horizon Line". The whole band has a way of getting that party going. A long came "Cities" and if the crowd wasn't moving by then they sure were now. The whole first set was strong, with a strong finish with "Babylon Baby."

The second set started with "Mound", I'd seen this on the setlist a few nights before but wasn't expecting it at all and was completely blown away like the rest of the room. The second set finished with the a cover of Alanis Morissette's "Hand in my Pocket" and "Another Door". The encore was "The Time for Loving is Now" which was great, I would have like one more super rock out jam, bu that would have been a cherry on top of cherries on a frosted cake.

Mike also came and signed Merch at the Merch table which was awesome! Can't wait to see these guys again!

Here is a link for some photos from the night.
