[I was looking back on some 1999 shows I attended but didn't remember much from, so I decided to give them a download and re-listen to figure out if they were any good.]

Tube starts things off with a bang, jam features some high energy playing from Trey over a delay loop with mike dropping some serious bombs in the background. An uptempo CTB kept the energy high. Cool, chill spacey jam out of Gumbo, really fun stuff. Fades out and then the opening to Moma kicks in. Fairly standard Moma, the jump right into a charging Piper. The get through the standard part of Piper and launch right into a ripping jam. Fishman keeps a high tempo drumbeat going while Trey plays a playful upper register melody, which then slowly transitions into a dark psychedelic meditation. Cool little Drum Solo towards the end of the jam as well. Great Piper. A relatively straightforward Theme finishes up a pretty great first set.

Jibboo is not a personal favorite, but it gets folks dancing at least. Fun NICU. Sand kicks off the jam portion of Set II, and what a jam! Following the composed section they immediately launch into a layered, textured spacey jam, with some amazing synth work by page and a lot of delays by Trey. The jam kicks in to high gear, with a cool melody developing from Trey around 16 minutes in. The epic jam finishes up with a brief return to the melody, and they Trey pulls out the acoustic for Inlaw. Mountains in the Mist continues the cooldown period from the Sand. Limb by Limb gets folks moving again. Super high energy during Golgi, crowd going wild. Pretty Slave jam, but nothing out of the ordinary, great set closer as always. The rare Horseless Silent and Heavy Things was a nice encore, but nothing special.

Overall: Pretty good show, first set may have been a bit better than the second. Piper and Sand were the highlights.
