Review by ajcmixer

ajcmixer Styling 15th row center with my peeps (thanks daniel and kurt and the rest of the noodle nation, much love!), just a great overall experience, great mood 'round me with the neighbors also totally into it and Jones Beach laying back and letting us enjoy the final show of what must be termed a monster Summer '10 tour.

1st set highlights for me were Sample in a Jar, a long and nicely jammed-out Ocelot, ditto for the Bathtub Gin. It was probably my first Destiny Unbound live and it was sweet, followed by an even sweeter Joy, rapidly becoming one of my faves from their vast catalog and, of course, the Antelope, leaving us smiling at the break.

2nd set was just one big song that just happened to have multiple song titles but this sucker flowed like lava out of a volcano. Actually, during the set I likened it to perhaps how it would feel if I were caught in an avalanche on a steep snow-covered mountain, I was free-falling and loving every moment of it. An already kick-ass set REALLY kicked in during 46 Days and the rest of the set was without a net. I had written off Tweezer as they had just done it two shows ago@Alpine but, lo and behold, the band was seemingly determined to not allow me to get a moments rest during this epic performance by doing it and I wonder sometimes how I'm not being carted off in traction after this kind of dance-fest, LOL! The rest of the set maintained the intensity, culminating in and finally spilling over with YEM. Wow! Can't go wrong with Suzy and then the inevitable last orgasmic push of the Tweezer Reprise left me wanting to smoke a cigarette (or something else...:-wink/smile) after the band took their last collective bow of the summer to their adoring fans. The numerous ovations that they received during and at the end of the show said it all. Excellent stuff...

Peace,
Alex
