The Phish-News mailing list is a one-way announcement list with news about Phish, the fan website Phish.net and its sponsor, the Mockingbird Foundation, providing an email alternative to our website, RSS, APIs, and "apps". The list and its 12,500 subscribers were recently moved from Netspace, where it had been hosted since 1996 but which recently went offline. Due to a setting error, the list was temporarily open on Thursday morning, and subscribers received several dozen errant messages, some of which may have trickled in as late as Friday midday. Additionally, the welcome message incorrectly provided instructions for posting to the list, although it is for announcements from the Foundation and website team only, not a discussion list. We apologize for any inconvenience from this problem, and appreciate subscribers tolerating the brief transitional bump.
