Phish.net Meets Iphone

The Mockingbird Foundation is proud to announce affiliation with a series of iPhone apps by multiple development teams who have formally licensed use of Phish.net setlists - for their apps, for your use, and for the purpose of fundraising for music education. The first app available, iDIDN'TKNOW Phish Games, "will challenge your knowledge of Phish while keeping you and your crew entertained for hours" with five different games: Phinal Exam, Phanagrams, Phuzzy Math, Tour Libs, and Wookipedia. A portion of the sales (not just of the profit) will go to the Mockingbird Foundation, and the app has already been upgraded to v1.1. We encourage you to download it, and to watch for news of additional apps on the way in coming days and weeks.

Lemuria There are other Phish.net-connected iPhone apps on the way, and at least one of the development teams has plans to port their app to other products (such as Blackberry and Palm). I don't recall whether any Android phones have been IDed in the discussions or agreements, but I'm ordering a Droid from Verizon today - so I'm with you, 100%! :)

I'm also hoping some code monkey devises a way to run iTunes apps on Google's OS, so that I can get RedLaser, Cadence, an iTunes sync, and these apps on there.

Meanwhile, although these specific apps (and the iDIDN'TKNOW games app in particular) won't run on the Droid (yet?), you can still surf http://m.phish.net, for which Adam's added new elements just last weekend. (See the gap chart - nice!!)

IDK_App iDIDN'TKNOW is definitely thinking about creating apps for other devices, but it will depend on the response to the iphone app. So far it's been very positive, so we'll see :)

tmwsiy how can you go wrong for $.99 to a fellow fan team who put the time, effort and heart into creating this game! every single iPhone owner should get this to encourage further development and other platform functionality.
