i started running in 2010, also due to a health issue, and it has has changed the quality of my life so much. i participated in 2020 and it meant a lot to me and i still have my shirt and run in it often. i remember pinning on the number you sent in the mail and running through central park and people staring at me and wondering where the other participants were. i'd love to try to show up for an in person event. i've also slowed way doen and learned to pace myself. phish helps motivate me to run - it's my "me time" to listen to whatever i want. thank you for organizing the virtual race, and i believe in you and that you can overcome any challenge that faces you. we baby steppin'!!!

And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
