And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
But the rest of this review is belittling and makes me feel like the show sucked. I was there too and I have to disagree with the entire review. I’m a harsh critic of live Phish shows and this review of all other songs is simply your opinion, one I entirely disagree with. My Mind was perfectly placed very fun and nailed. Dissing the playing of this song is like dissing on ANY song they could decide to play. Answer me this: what song SHOULD they have played in that spot instead, hmmm? I’d really like to know. You didn’t think the Reba jam was that great? It was perfect to all of us in attendance. And I’m sorry but Devotion was an excellent call, it was well practiced it has great tempo the lyrics are so good and everyone around us was dancing and losing it, even the loud bros behind us noodled. It felt like an uptempo Dead song that seemed to elevate some energy.
I don’t think the review captures 10% of what night 1 actually brought. My opinion of course, but the show had a lot more going on with it than this review lets on.
