As someone who’s guilty as charged for immediately fluffing a show seen under the influence of fungus, I’ve finally realized it’s best to listen the following day or so before overrating an average (good/solid) concert. Initial post-show thoughts were that it was a great show due to the mindspace of the aforementioned. Hearing it on the drive home from the airport this afternoon changed to one of a songy first set with some special moments in both Mr. Completely & Ruby Waves. I still had more fun than on 7/30, but that doesn’t always make for a 4.+ rating. Regardless, the train is still barreling on towards what could be the penultimate shows of the decade: Mondegreen!
