I have no idea what to add to this! You've said basically all there is to be said about these remarkable and unique shows. I would only remark that covering Leonard Cohen's "Is This What You Wanted?" with it's apropos lyrics in the encore of 10/31/14 was poignant and deserves a mention.
I'll second this. Great song that's now firmly entrenched on my Halloween playlists.

IMO the set II songs deserve some additional credit for essentially being jammed out versions of what they would become - I still don't think any subsequent version has matched the debut of MM, Birds, Dogs, YPC (although one was jammed longer), in length or quality.
