This sentence is a comforting method of delivering the stark reminder that reality has indeed gone type 2.
It’s shorter than the standout version in Bethel, and while that jam has some really beautiful moments early on, I think the Toronto version tops it.. led by Page it oozes space and full band interplay.
I was commenting on existence in general the last couple of years->now (which thankfully includes the consistent surprising expansion of Phish's sound and jam-vehicle choices), but I agree, this Sample tops Bethel and the few other previous type 2 versions ... The sounds/explorations in this jam along with the subsequent DWD are very near the top of my list of sounds/explorations since last summer; absolutely A-plus top-shelf unique material.
