Dressed_In_Gray I get a kick out of watching fans gripe and tear down Phish's new material. It hasn't changed a bit since they released Hoist. Some of the less enlightened opinions shown here regarding DWYS are almost verbatim from the criticisms I heard about an album that "a lot of fans will automatically like because it is Phish" over a quarter century ago

Lifeboy = garbage God rock
Riker's Mailbox = cringeworthy
Wolfman's Brother = sophomoric
Scent Of A Mule = wish it was a parody song
If I Could = definition of a bathroom song
Julius = Most embarrassing song Phish has written

The more things change, the more they stay the same, I guess. You have to laugh at it, because to take it seriously is just depressing.
