In short, in our post-religious world most self-avowed atheists and agnostics still feel a longing and calling for eternity, they “doubt their doubts”. You are right to look for and long for transcendence, but honestly Treys lyrics and Pollans writings are trite when compared to the glory of God in the face of Christ Jesus. I know I will be immediately skewered here for saying that, but if you are going to go there you should go all in.
