Ninjatoon This show was a well played bad show. It was bad...real bad. Coming off the previous two nights of crushing, a Sunday tour closer, with a hype ass crowd, we were all ready for a face melting. What we got was a poorly executed “stunt/gag”, which had essentially been done before. Except, when they did it at the Dozen, it felt fresh and triumphant. We were all so proud of them. This show made me feel like they were chasing their tail.

It’s fitting that they ended with “Chalkdust Reprise”, because that set was torture.
I love 3.0 Phish, so this has nothing to do with comparing it to “the old days”. This was a chance for Phish to close out a tour at its highest note. The bell rang, and they didn’t answer.
