Great write up. My first Phish show was in 1994. Sunday's show was my 30th which doesn't sound like a lot. But we have lives and jobs and have to adult and we (my husband and I) have had Phish come and go in our lives over the years. I've seen every Sunday show at Dick's since the Labor Day run started. Last year I told my husband, as we entered the gates, I need more of this. I need more Phish. Couch tour doesn't cut it anymore. We saw 5 shows this summer having gone to the 3 night run at the Gorge and 2 of the 3 Dick's. I've always felt that it's a spiritual experience and the guy sitting behind us last night said that coming to a Phish show was going to church. I couldn't agree more.

 The Mockingbird Foundation
The Mockingbird FoundationThe Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
