1. I like 8/16 more than 8/17.
2. I think the DWD is better than @nichobert is giving it credit for, but I don't think it's *that* great. I don't think the Gin is *that* great, either, but more in a "is this the best jam ever" sense; it's definitely a very good jam.
3. 8/17 II is fine; "firing blanks" is overstating it, but it's hard to imagine that people would like that set very much (very good Mule nonwithstanding) if that was their 2nd set.
this exercise is all about the re-listen, but when 08/17 III started reba, bowie, and mike's were still on the table. one of those sets where expectations get in the way of enjoyment.

but man did I LOVE my first live guyute.
