MKnapik I missed one from 1992-08-17 the "off the rails" David Bowie! I was so focused on the completely ramped-up Foam that the Bowie from that show somehow slid under the radar! Thank you PunkDwarf for calling out this oversight!
I remember where I was when I first heard that Foam. In my car, at a red light, the version of the show I was listening to truncates the song just as The Phish are about to return to the main theme. I went completely bonkers! I still feel cheated to this day. That, my friends, is "hall of fame" jamming! Again, the Bowie from later in the set is super-swell, as well.
Another thing to note about these songs: they both are played IN THE FIRST SET! This is before the days of "they really go to town in the second set". These things used to occur more frequently before that Halloween show I referred to above. Haters gonna do something...
