I never read these recaps as reviews but moreso as an encapsulation of the experience of the author, regardless of whether or not they were in attendance at the show. I believe this is a beautiful example of just that concept and, in my opinion, precisely what makes something a "recap" and not a "review". Furthermore, with all the mention of art and beauty in this recap, if you can't conclude that the show was at least good in the author's opinion, then...well...I just don't know.
