Yep, I get you. My girlfriend goes to shows with me and we totally get different things out of each song and thus each show. Neither of us is right, and neither of us wrong (though I'm usually closer to being right! ;-)) so the bottom line metric is: "Was this worth x hours out of our lives?" and invariably the answer is yes. And that's the bottom line.
