kidrob this is a great read. i was at a lot of the same shows as you this year, so it is always great to read someone's perspective.

I like how you explain the tahoe tweezer woos as a tension release for the band and the crowd. it was natural and really what it was.

Halloween, the only show i saw in AC, was an incredible experience. i had an epiphany in the first set that this was my favorite band, and i listen to them almost exclusively. how could i not be excited about the wingsuit set?!?! i really embraced that set, and agree with your opinions about it. it's legacy is yet unknown.

moving backwards to dicks. i told a buddy i work with my top 5 haven't seen phish songs i wanted to see before leaving for colorado. i gave him my 5, and then i added, "of course ICCULUS, but that will never happen." Well trey read the book in set one, night one. enough said. the other song i got was "saw it again" night 3.

I made a last minute trip to catch the first two nights at MSG, and it truly is a Phish Mecca. There is something about that room. anyways, who would've thunk you would catch a second icculus in one year. i was not at NYE, but the second set brought the biggest grin on my face while I listened to it during a passionate hobby of mine; listening to phish while running. truly something special. a special year for the band and us, their fans.
