My sister lives a few blocks from the Mothership, and while staying at the Hampton Inn a few Thanksgivings back, I walked around the venue at night and burned one. I had headphones on and was raging the recently released Hampton/Winston-Salem box set. It was an incredible experience to feel so close to such a highly revered venue! I felt like I could hear the roars of the crowd reverberating through the walls.. Very surreal.
