I agree with mfhendi on 7/1/97, idk why that hasn't even mentioned/added yet. Of course, I could add it in, if only my phone and computer weren't prohibiting me for some reason..

It's the first really great Ghost, completely blew away the previous six performances, and I think it trumped the 7/3 version for sure. It had all the right pieces to make history: downright funkness, ridiculous worm banter summoning the evil forces that would hang around for the following night, then shifting gears at the drop of a dime and leading into a few dreamy psychedelic movements, and finally a heavy closing section with Mike leading us home with a killer groove as Page and Fish pound away on their instruments of doom. Nobody got out of there alive, especially after that insidious Wormtown jam later in the run. This was arguably the jam (and show) of that tour, although I'm sure most would take the Stash from 7/2 mostly because that was monumental for that song as well, but I would still take this Ghost over it. Oh, and that was the show opener. Bananas. It was the first version that really answered their questions about where they could take that song.
