ReeYees I caught a preview between Allman Bros shows at the Beacon two weeks ago. My expectations were not very high but my wife and I were pleasantly surprised and inspired by this musical. For those who are really into song writing you can definitely hear lots of Trey signature chord voicings, riffs and melodies throughout. I was not a big fan of My Problem Right There or Burn That Bridge back in 2010 but to hear them in their proper context has really made me appreciate them for the first time.

The gospel stomp was definitely the highlight. I want to get the soundtrack when available. I agree that the 1st half was much stronger but that is only based on a first listening. Obviously the contestants get sleepy towards the end and that rubbed off on my a bit. That's a matinee for ya!

Maybe someday we will get a Gamehenge musical but I doubt it.
