Even in the industrial industry, in which I work, a reboot (or cold-cock, which is an industry accepted term) fixes 70-80 percent of comm issues. I'm asking a PLC to execute code based on I/O conditons. To throw us for a loop, sometimes the PLC decides to tell US to fuck off; I'm not gonna do what you tell me.

I think by approaching the machine as somewhat human, when I tell IT to fuck off, in some weird way, I feel better. It's like playing God with the disconnect handle.
